Drums and Good Music…
I do not think drums can stand apart from the other musical instruments like the keyboards and the guitar to create music. In a band, the regular musical instruments that are being played are the organ or piano, guitar and drums. The organ may play music on its own. Just as the guitar may create an acoutic version on its own. But the drums?
As a matter of fact, the drums when played solo in rock music and jazz music may bring the house down. Check out best drumming dvd to know more of solo drum performances. The drums after all play good music independently from the other musical instruments. So long as the drummer is learned and expert in his field.
