House Burns Down and Fireproof Safe is Okay
I was a wreck when I received the call at work from my husband telling me that our house had burned down. We are fortunate that no one was home when it happened and that our pet dog goes to doggy daycare. I drove home quickly to see if anything was salvageable. We were told that it was most likely an electrical fire that started in the kitchen. I found the fireproof safe under some rubble. It was in good shape and I opened it with the key that I kept in my purse. Everything inside the safe was fine. At least all of our important documents survived the fire.
