How Important Is Planning A Bathroom Remodel?

I was wondering if I should do any home works before I could make some overhaul to the bathroom we have in our small house. It was however a coincidence that I came across with an article on How To Plan A Bathroom Remodel very recently. I did not know I had to take some basic measurements and calculation before we start on the actual work. My bathroom was a bit congested and long but had not enough breadth. Had I not taken the measurement of the juxtaposed rooms, I would not be able to widen the bathroom. There was more space in the dinning haul than required which I was able to find it after taking the measurement.
